Winners of industry contests received awards

An award ceremony for the winners of the Golden Cabriole National Award and Soyuzexpertiza competitions took place at Mebel 2024 at EXPOCENTRE Fairgrounds.

The Russian Cabriole National Award was established in 2005 by the Association of Furniture and Woodworking Enterprises of Russia and the Union of Designers of Russia for Russian enterprises and organisations, creative unions, specialised educational institutions, furniture workshops, studios, designers and architects who have achieved the highest results in the production of competitive furniture of original design. In 2020, the award was renamed the Golden Cabriole. The award is supported by the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and EXPOCENTRE.

This year, the awards were presented in the following nominations: cabinet furniture, upholstered furniture, furniture for public spaces, furniture for kitchens, Future Stars, and the best design project from NORDECO products. Russian furniture manufacturers, practicing designers, and students of relevant universities took part in the competition for the award. The works were evaluated according to a number of criteria. These included originality, novelty of design, functionality, ergonomics, environmental friendliness, and many others.

The Soyuzexpertiza contest was held in two nominations: For High Quality Products, and For Successful Promotion of Quality Goods.  

The purpose of the contest is to promote high quality goods from friendly countries to the consumer market of the Russian Federation, and to help improve the competitiveness of Russian furniture products.

The winners received certificates and medals, as well as the right to use the awards for marketing and advertising purposes and to label their products with them.
