PUSHKA industrial design forum as opportunity to put most daring projects into life

The PUSHKA International Forum of Industrial Design Innovations organised by Expocentre and Artekay Eurasia took place at the Mebel 2019 exhibition on November 19-21.

The number of higher education establishments participating in the PUSHKA forum has grown this year. They include the Belarusian State Academy of Arts, the British Higher School of Art and Design, the Izmir University of Economics (Turkey), the Bauman Moscow State Technical University, the Moscow State Stroganov Academy of Industrial and Applied Arts, the Moscow State Polytechnic University, the MISiS National University of Science and Technology, the Stieglitz Saint Petersburg Art and Industry Academy, the Peter the Great St. Petersburg State Polytechnic University, the Lahti University of Applied Sciences (Finland), and the Moscow Region State Technological University.

Works of students from the best design schools of Russia and Europe, creative art installations and functional design projects for world-known brands were presented on the first day of the forum.

This year, students' works were presented in the following nominations: Progression of the Future Design, Kitchen Tap Design, Kitchen Sink Design, Home Appliance Design, Auto "Machine of the Future", Cooker Hood Design, Kitchen Design, and Kitchen Illumination Design. The best works won prizes, and the winners were invited on internship programmes at acclaimed companies.

The PUSHKA 2019 programme presented authoritative speakers, who told the audience “How to create one’s industrial design brand in Russia", "How to get the best kitchen and save a million", "How the interior influences our life and success", etc.

Smeg, Elica, and Omoikiri managers shared secrets of combining new technologies and style at the All Kitchen in One seminar. The forum hosted daily show kitchen events where celebrated chefs such as Andrea Gali, Sergey Kuznetsov, and Elena Chazova demonstrated their skills. All events of the forum were accompanied with eye-catching shows and contests.
